2. What types of vacations do you specialize in?

I specialize in cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and group travel, including milestone celebrations. Whether you're planning a birthday getaway, anniversary, family vacation, or bucket-list adventure, I'll help you find options that fit your travel style, priorities, and budget.

3. Do you charge a planning fee?

My standard travel planning service includes personalized recommendations, researching and comparing vacation options, helping you select the right cruise or resort, coordinating your bookings, and providing guidance on available excursions, travel protection, and other vacation details. I use my travel expertise and trusted supplier network to help you make informed decisions and find options that fit your preferences and budget.

For trips that require extensive research beyond my standard services or detailed, day-by-day custom itineraries built from scratch, an additional planning fee may apply depending on the destination and complexity. Any applicable fee will be discussed and agreed upon before planning begins.

4. Do you book flights?

I leave airfare arrangements to each traveler to allow flexibility with airline preferences, miles and points, and individual travel needs. Although I don't book flights, I'm happy to share flight recommendations from my travel agent resources when available and offer suggestions to help you plan your journey.

5. Can I make payments over time?

Yes! Most cruise lines, resorts, and vacation suppliers, allow payments toward your balance before the final payment deadline. I also offer FlexPay, which allows eligible travelers to spread vacation payments over time, subject to applicable terms. 

6. Do you plan trips outside of your specialties?

My primary focus is cruises, all-inclusive vacations, and group travel for milestone celebrations. You're always welcome to inquire about other destinations! If suitable options are available through my existing supplier network, I may be able to assist. As I travel to new destinations and establish trusted supplier relationships, I continue to expand my specialties.

7. Do you plan group trips?

Absolutely! I coordinate group cruises, all-inclusive vacations, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and other special celebrations. I'll help organize reservations, payment deadlines, and important travel details so your group can focus on making memories together.

My Sail With Me cruises and Travel With Me vacations offer opportunities to explore new destinations, connect with like-minded travelers, and make lasting memories. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or with friends, enjoy the excitement of a group experience with key travel arrangements coordinated for you.

9. How do I book one of your group trips?

Explore upcoming Sail With Me and Travel With Me trips on my website or social media pages. Follow the booking or inquiry instructions to review pricing, availability, deposits, payment deadlines, and inclusions. Space may be limited, so inquire early!

10. What happens after I book my vacation?

I'll help you stay informed about payment deadlines, travel documentation, and important details as your departure approaches. My goal is to help you feel prepared and confident about your upcoming trip.

11. When is my vacation officially booked?

An inquiry or quote does not guarantee a reservation. Your booking is confirmed once the required booking steps and payments are completed and the travel supplier confirms your reservation. Prices and availability may change until your booking is secured.

12. What if I need to cancel or change my vacation?

Cancellation and change policies vary by supplier and fare type. Deposits or payments may be nonrefundable, and additional fees may apply. I'll explain the applicable terms at booking; if your plans change, contact me promptly to review your options.

13. What travel documents do I need?

Sharmaine Event Travel requires passports to be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Depending on your destination and itinerary, visas or other documents may also be required. I'll provide guidance relevant to your booking, but each traveler is ultimately responsible for obtaining and verifying all required travel documents. Missing documents may result in denied boarding or entry. Check your passport expiration date before booking!

14. Do you book excursions and activities?

Yes! I can help you explore and book available shore excursions, sightseeing tours, and other experiences through my trusted suppliers and available resources. Pricing, availability, and booking terms vary.

15. Can I join a group trip if I'm traveling alone?

Absolutely! Solo travelers are welcome on many of my hosted group trips. Single-occupancy pricing and availability vary, and shared accommodations may be an option on some trips. I'll help you understand the available choices before booking.

16. Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking online?

A travel advisor offers more than a reservation. I help you compare suitable cruises, resorts, and vacation options based on your travel style, priorities, and budget while coordinating booking details and keeping you informed of important deadlines. My goal is to save you time and help you make confident travel decisions.

17. Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes! I strongly recommend travel protection to help safeguard your vacation investment against certain unexpected events. I'll provide available options for you to review, including coverage, limitations, and exclusions. 

18. Do you offer group discounts?

Some group bookings may qualify for special rates, amenities, or other benefits, depending on the supplier, group size, and availability. I'll review the options available for your group and explain the applicable requirements.

19. Do you offer the lowest price?

My goal is to help you find the best value, not simply the lowest price. When a supplier offers price matching, I can often help you take advantage of it, subject to the supplier's terms. If your booked vacation's price drops, I'll help explore an adjustment when the supplier's policies allow it.

20. What if I need assistance while traveling?

I'll provide guidance related to your booking before departure and help direct you to the appropriate supplier or support contact if an issue arises. For urgent issues during your trip, you may need to contact your cruise line, resort, tour operator, or local emergency services directly.
